Shipping Container Transport

Moving house? Rhino Towing can move 20 foot and 10 foot shipping containers on the truck weighing up to 6 ton anywhere on the Sunshine Coast, or even interstate! Our trailer can move empty 20 foot containers. We work with several reputable companies if you need to hire or buy a container we can point you in the right direction, beware of online scams! Unfortunately, I have seen plenty of people fall victim to scammers who seem to make a killing off unsuspecting people wanting to buy containers.

Common questions – how much room do I need? To comfortably unload a container ideally you need 20metres clear space in a straight line.  Less than 20m is not ideal, however in some circumstances it is possible. If you are unsure please ask!

The height clearances needed for trees, arches, powerlines etc when the container is on the truck – 3.9 m for a “standard height” container (2.6m container height) or 4.2m for a “high cube container” (2.9m tall container). Please note however – this height increases when unloading, these heights are purely for clearance into properties etc. Width – 3m is ideal, but we can squeeze through gates as narrow as 2.6m wide.

The below photos show what we mean when asking which way you want the container delivered, and how much room is needed.

This shows how the container will be placed on the ground whem loaded "doors rear".
